Update For DACA Students

Important Message to DACA Students Courtesy of Educators for Fair Consideration (E4FC)

U.S Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) announced that it was again accepting DACA renewal applications as a result of an order issued by a U.S. District Court. Here are some important things we want you to know right now: 

Initial DACA Applications. People who have never had DACA are not able to submit a DACA application at this time. Only those who have had DACA at some point may submit a renewal application.

Mendocino College Invites Mendocino & Lake County Residents to Strategic Planning Retreat

Mendocino College would like to invite all Mendocino and Lake County residents to join the annual strategic planning retreat.  A community forum will be held on Thursday, December 7th, 6:00 – 8:00 p.m., in the Mendocino College Little Theatre on the Ukiah Campus.

Who should attend this forum?  This forum is open to all Lake and Mendocino County residents, community agencies, local business employees and owners, and all other community members interested in the offerings at Mendocino College.  Mendocino College would like to hear from you!

The Mendocino College Repertory Dance Company Presents Dancing Between The Lines

The Mendocino College Dance Department’s Repertory Dance Company will present Dancing Between the Lines.  Mendocino College Repertory Dancers perform works choreographed by Alice Blumenfeld (Artistic Director, Abrepaso Flamenco), Kara Starkweather (Artistic Director, Mendocino Dance Project), Meredith Cabaniss (Artistic Director, selah dance collective), Kirsten Turner, Miriam McNamara, and Eryn Schon-Brunner.  The performance features costumes by Kathy Dingman-Katz and lighting by Steve Decker.  Performances are November 16-19, in Mendocino College’s Cen

Mendocino College and the Consulate General of Mexico Host Day of Services

The Mendocino-Lake Community College District and The Consulate General of Mexico will host a day of services for the Hispanic and Mexican community that were affected by the recent fires.  Please find the flyer, with more information, attached to this e-mail.

This event will be held at St. Mary’s Church, located at 900 S. Oak Street in Ukiah on Sunday, October 22 at 1:30 p.m.  Services include information on community services, psychological assistance, emergency consular assistance, and more.

Mendocino-Lake Community College District Resumes Classes Monday, October 16

Mendocino College Ukiah Campus, North County Center (Willits), Lake Center, and Coast Center (Fort Bragg) will be resuming all classes as scheduled on Monday, October 16th, 2017 following the recent, temporary, closures.  
 
The Mendocino-Lake Community College District has also opened our facilities to the Red Cross and will officially be the Ukiah shelter location.
 

Mendocino College Classes Are Cancelled for the Remainder of the Week – Ukiah Campus Open for Camping and Facility Use

Due to the fires in both Mendocino and Lake counties, Mendocino College Ukiah Campus, North County Center (Willits), Lake Center, and Coast Center (Fort Bragg) will be canceling all classes and on campus events and activities through Sunday, October 15th, 2017.  All classes and on campus activities will resume on Monday, October 16th as normal.
