Workshop 1: Commercial Drone Pilot 101 FAA Exam Prep, Skills and Safe Business Operations

This workshop is open to all members of the community, though it is geared toward professionals in construction, agriculture, forestry, public safety, natural resources, and digital media.

Class Description: This hands-on workshop taught by a drone industry professional prepares students for the FAA part 107 Commercial Remote Pilot Exam, develops flying skills, and teaches the safe integration of drone technology into business operations. Classroom instruction and hands-on flight of a commercial-grade drone.

Classes limited to 10. Personal drones welcome with instructor permission.

Workshop 2: Intro to Drone Mapping, Modeling, and 360 Panoramas Workshop

Class Description: This hands-on workshop taught by a drone industry professional teaches the use of drones for creating maps, 3D models, and 360 degree panoramas. Emphasis will be on using free, open-source software tools. Classroom instruction and hands-on flight of a commercial-grade drone.

You’ll learn about different types of voiceovers and tools you’ll need to find success. Your instructor, a professional voice actor from Voices For All, will take notes as you read a real script in this one-on-one video chat setting and offer coaching to improve your delivery. About this Event

The annual Mendocino College Teachers on Teaching conference is designed to explore a variety of topics of interest to teachers across disciplines from Kindergarten through Community College. The goal of the conference is to bring educators together to share ideas, build collaboration, and learn about current practices and projects in the community. The conference is geared to current and future educators.
