Katherine Lam-Hansard is a part-time Professor of Economics at Mendocino College and a 12th grade Advanced Placement Economics teacher at a private school in Ukiah. She is also a Marketing Director for a non-profit publishing company. Prior to her teaching career, she was as an economist working in high profile areas of the British Treasury, including the Euro Debt Crisis and World Financial Crisis in 2009-2012, and conducted forecast analysis for the UK economy. Katherine also worked at the Office for National Statistics conducting research on the UK labor market and had a short career in trading European bonds.

Katherine holds a Masters of Science and Bachelors of Science in Economics at Queen Mary College, University of London.
