Printmaking classes return to Mendocino College

After a three-year hiatus, printmaking is again being offered at the Mendocino College Ukiah Campus.

The Fall semester welcomed the first group of printmaking students back to the school and marked the maiden voyage of a brand-new printing press. The heavy-duty Takach press allows for large prints, and cuts down on wait time for students. The studio also has two small presses, great for beginning students.

First Person: Explorations in Printmaking’ opens at Mendocino College Gallery

The new Gallery Director at Mendocino College Gallery, Jazzminh Moore, brings her breadth of art world experience to Ukiah with an ambitious selection of artists in her inaugural curated exhibition, “First Person: Explorations in Printmaking” on view Nov. 7 – Feb. 5.

With an exciting mix of 11 local, national and international artists, “Explorations” speaks to both the content and processes by which these diverse artists come to make their work.

The Mendocino College Repertory Dance Company Fall 2023 performance, Contours & Rhythms

Mendocino College Repertory Dance Company presents Contours & Rhythms, a captivating performance of contemporary and traditional dance, West African dance forms, Ballet, Galician dances, and regional Ballet Folklorico Jalisco dance. Under the direction of Eryn Schon-Brunner, dancers will bring to life new choreographic works by local and nationally esteemed choreographers: Jessie Beck, Rocio Ramos, Eryn Schon-Brunner, Adrienne Simpson, and Kirsten Turner.
