Reid Edelman has produced and/or directed more than 100 productions and acted in dozens of others. In his 36 years teaching theatre, he has trained hundreds of students, many of whom are performing today on Broadway, in professional regional theatres, as well as in film and television. From 1987-1995, he was the founding Artistic Director of San Francisco’s Harvest Theatre Company. His professional credits also include directing the Drama as Discovery Institute at Boston’s Huntington Theatre Company and freelance directing work throughout the San Francisco Bay Area.

Reid received his BA in Drama and English from Stanford University and his M.Ed. from Harvard’s Graduate School of Education. He trained as an actor at Rutgers’ Professional Acting Training Program and at the American Conservatory Theatre. His acting credits include performances with Mendocino College, Ukiah Players Theatre, San Francisco Shakespeare Festival, Marin Shakespeare Company, Harvest Theatre Company, and the San Francisco International Theatre Festival. From 1987-2000, he chaired the Performing Arts Department at Lick-Wilmerding High School in San Francisco. Since Fall 2000, he has directed the theatre program at Mendocino College.
