Elise Jones was born and raised in the Ukiah Valley. She attended Mendocino College from 2004 to 2007, earning an Associate's Degree in Psychology before transferring to CalPoly Humboldt. Elise earned a Bachelor's Degree in 2009 and Master's Degree in 2011, both in Psychology. Her focus in graduate school was Developmental Psychopathology. Since graduating, Elise has worked in a variety of mental health programs in Oregon and California. These include both outpatient and residential treatment settings serving youth and adult populations with severe behavioral health needs. With over a decade of experience as a mental health clinician, Elise brings a depth of clinical understanding to educational settings. Presently, she serves as the Director of Lake County Behavioral Health Services. Elise has been a part-time instructor with Mendocino College since 2015, teaching Introduction to Psychology, Psychology of Gender, Abnormal Psychology, and Introduction to Psychobiology.
