Physical Therapist Assistant
Andrea Ecsedy currently works with SavaSeniorCare Consulting, LLC as the National Director of Evidence-based Practice. Dr. Ecsedy has 34 years of clinical experience and has been a Board Certified Neurological Clinical Specialist for 25 years. She presently serves as content expert for the Neurological Clinical Specialist Exam committee. She owned a private practice for 8 years with emphasis on treating the neurological client, and prior to that she worked in the acute rehabilitation setting. Dr. Ecsedy has a published article on the topic of constraining movement to improve gait in stroke patients, and she was a co- contributor to the Rancho Los Amigos Gait Analysis Handbook. Her clinical focus has been in the areas of balance and vestibular dysfunction, stroke, Parkinson’s disease and spinal cord injury. She has extensive teaching background, including guest lecturing at several physical therapy programs as well as teaching a multitude of continuing education courses on topics of gait analysis, spasticity management and electrical stimulation.
Andrea loves the outdoors. She is an avid backpacker, skier and bike rider. She loves to spend time with her family and her golden doodle Toldi. Andrea can be reached at aecsedy@mendocino.edu.
