The English major prepares students with the reading, writing, and critical and creative thinking skills required for university level study of literature, composition, and related disciplines in the social sciences, humanities, and business, among others. Students develop effective communication skills by exploring the relationship between reading and writing as a means of connecting to and better understanding our world.
