Marcee Martinez has been practicing physical therapy for the past 24 years, primarily in Redding, California. She has experience in neurological rehabilitation and pediatrics (including hippo therapy), and for the past 16 years in sports medicine and outpatient orthopedics. Marcee is now the Director for the Shasta College Physical Therapist Assistant program and is working in collaboration with Mendocino College for the development and implementation of both PTA programs.

Marcee received her BA in Exercise Science from Sonoma State University, her MPT from Samuel Merritt University, and her DPT from University of St. Augustine where she continues to pursue her Ed.D. Marcee is excited and honored to be a part of the PTA programs at Shasta and Mendocino Colleges, and to be able to impart her enthusiasm and excitement for this profession to a new generation of upcoming clinicians.

Marcee is an avid outdoor enthusiast and adrenaline junkie – she enjoys mountain biking, skiing, back- and bike-packing, rock climbing, and big roller coasters. Her biggest challenge however, is keeping up with her competitive gymnast daughter, who is never still or upright. Marcee can be reached at mmartinez@shastacollege.edu
