PART TIME INSTRUCTORS FOR THE SUSTAINABLE TECHNOLOGY PROGRAM
for FALL 2016

Seeking instructors for two disciplines: Solar Electric and Construction Documents: Understanding Blueprints and schematics

Mendocino College is currently accepting applications for part-time instructors to teach the following topics:

SST 164 Construction Documents1: Understanding Blueprints and Schematics

SST 190 Introduction to Photovoltaics (Solar)

DUTIES: Duties of part-time instructors include: all assigned teaching hours; preparing classroom presentations and assignments; evaluating student performances including quizzes, comprehensive examinations; written and mathematical assignments availability for consultation with students; staying current with developments in their respective fields.

QUALIFICATIONS: Must meet the California Community College Minimum Qualifications or the equivalent (an Associates Degree and 6 years of experience in the field, a Bachelor’s degree (or higher) and 2 years of experience in the field). May also qualify to teach with a valid credential, which authorizes teaching in the discipline for a California Community College or by requesting equivalency. ASSIGNMENT/SALARY: Assignments are made on a part-time, hourly contract basis. A part-time teaching assignment may not exceed a total of 67% of an annual full-time assignment. Salary is determined by the total class hours times the individual's hourly rate of pay.
