Phi Theta Kappa is the international honor society of community colleges. The purpose of Phi Theta Kappa shall be to recognize and encourage scholarship among two-year college students. To achieve this purpose, Phi Theta Kappa shall provide opportunity for the development of leadership and service, for an intellectual climate for exchange of ideas and ideals, for lively fellowship for scholars, and for stimulation of interest in continuing academic excellence.
If you have recently received an invitation to join Phi Theta Kappa, here is some additional information:
In order to be eligible you must be an enrolled student and possess a 3.4 cumulative GPA in 12 or more units of degree/certificate applicable courses.
One-time membership dues are $85 ($15 local, $10 regional, $60 national) and include the following benefits:
- The Phi Theta Kappa Golden Key Membership Pin
- A Phi Theta Kappa Membership Certificate and ID Card
- Recognition during college induction ceremony
- Recognition by wearing Phi Theta Kappa Commencement Regalia during college graduation and other official ceremonies
- A Press Release announcing your academic achievement
