Commencement Ceremony

The Forty-seventh Commencement Ceremony is scheduled to be held Friday, May 22, 2020. While we will not be holding our traditional commencement ceremony in May as planned, due to COVID-19, we are looking at alternative ways to honor our 2020 graduates. We will post more information as it becomes available.

How to Graduate

If you believe you are eligible for an Associate in Arts degree, Associate in Science degree, Certificate of Achievement, or Certificate of Completion, you must submit an application for graduation through one of the following methods:

Online Graduation Application

Log into MyMendo and Select Apply for Graduation.
Select the desired program and complete the provided webform.
A brief tutorial is provided for this process or you can contact Admissions and Records with any questions.

Paper Graduation Application

Print the “Petition to Graduate” and complete the shaded section.
Make an appointment with your counselor to have an exit interview or transcript review.
Meet with your counselor.  At that time s/he will help you complete the Petition to Graduate and will make sure you are ready.
Completed applications are submitted to the Office of Admissions and Records for processing.

Graduating Student Survey

Though not required, it is requested that all graduating students complete the Graduating Student Survey so the College can better serve future students.  The password to access the survey is Grad20.

Diplomas and Certificates

Effective Spring 2020, Mendocino College has partnered with Parchment, Inc. to print and deliver diplomas and certificates to graduates.  Students will receive a certified electronic, as well as a printed, diploma or certificate.
Beginning July 2020, students that have graduated will receive an email notification, sent to their college email account, when the electronic diploma/certificate is ready to claim.  The printed diploma/certificate will be mailed within 10 business days of this notification.
An email with tracking information will be sent when the printed diploma/certificate has been mailed.  Please contact Admissions and Records with any questions:
