IT’S TIME FOR STUDENT GOVERNMENT ELECTIONS FOR 2022-23
Click link above for official Ballot! Vote before 4PM May 11th.
The Associated Students of Mendocino College – your student government – is looking for capable and committed students to run for election.
By serving on the student senate you can represent your fellow students in college planning and policy by serving in various capacities, including on the Board of Trustees, the most important campus committees, and through regional and statewide organizations. You will also help improve the college experience for all students by organizing events and activities, awarding scholarships, and working to meet student needs. It will be a great addition to your transfer or job applications, and you can get paid for working in the ASMC office!
Elections will be held on May 10-11. Candidacy forms must be completed by May 3rd.
If you are interested in becoming an ASMC Officer, please review the qualification requirements and instructions in the ASMC Candidacy Packet.
You can submit your Declaration of Intent to run for office in three ways. The easiest is to just complete and submit this online form (link). Alternatively, you can download the candidacy packet, complete pages 6 and 7, and then either submit the hard copy to the Student Services Office in MacMillan Hall, or send an image of the completed pages to the ASMC at firstname.lastname@example.org.
When your Declaration of Intent is received, we will confirm that you qualify to run. Then after the application period closes, we will post a sample ballot and candidate statements for students to review prior to the vote.
