| Course Description |

| This course will provide a comprehensive study of Hazardous Materials and |
| emergency response to Haz Mat incidents. Topics will include basic Haz Mat |
| chemistry, regulation, toxicology, tactics and strategy of mitigation, |
| decontamination, and scene management. This is a required course for an |
| Associate Degree in Fire Science. |
