Visual Motor  Integration

Definition:

The inability to copy shapes, words, numbers accurately

Examples: 

•  Poor spacing of letters, numbers
• Difficulty writing from board onto paper
• Loses place on test answer sheet 

Dysgraphia

Definition:

The inability to form letters correctly

Examples:

• Has difficulty reading own writing
• Can dictate a story but has difficulty writing it
• May have difficulties with cutting, pasting, coloring
• Difficulties in writing correct math symbols
