Five offensive and three defense players were selected first team Mid Empire Conference. Sophomore quarterback Jacob Laudenslayer (Modesto, CA), freshmen receivers Ricky Roberts (Sacramento, CA) and Ilich Solano (Miami, FL), and sophomore linemen Brad Bowers (Ukiah, CA) and Matt Mayfield (Ukiah, CA) were selected on offense. Laudenslayer finished the season throwing for 2,884 yards and 30 touchdowns, while throwing only 10 interceptions. He finished third in Northern California in passing yards per game and second in total offense. Solano led Mendocino with 60 catches for 938 yards and four touchdowns, while Roberts had 45 catches for 564 yards and nine touchdowns. Both were in the top 15 of Northern California for receptions per game. The Eagle offense finished second in Northern California in total offense and third in pass offense. Freshman safety Daniel Dieudonne (Miami, FL), sophomore linebacker Svante Wright (Camilla, GA) and freshman linebacker Robbie Zaina (Lebanon, OR) were selected on defense. Dieudonne led Northern California with seven interceptions. Both Wright and Zania finished in the top 15 of Northern California in tackles. Wright recorded 89 tackles and three sacks, while Zania had 69 tackles and one sack. The Eagle defense finished 13th in Northern California in passing yards per game, limiting opponents to only 189 yards. Dieudonne, Mayfield and Laudenslayer are also nominated for all-state honors, which will be voted on at the all-state meetings in December. Mendocino College finished the season with a 5-5 record.
