This course focuses on using a modern Geographic Information System (GIS)
for organizing and presenting spatial data. Students will learn to work
with spatially-related data such as those dealing with natural hazards
investigation, environmental resource management, agriculture, urban
planning, infrastructure, site assessment or land-use planning. In
addition to being useful for applying GIS concepts in a variety of
disciplines, the course will prepare students for further study in spatial
analysis at the university level.
