This course offers an in-depth look at the hospitality industry including lodging, food and beverage services, and tourism with a focus on California's north coast. Career opportunities, entrepreneurial potential professional image, customer service, teamwork, human relations, and related fields will be explored through lectures, field trips, reading, class exercises, and assignments. Other areas included, depending on the interests of students, will be an exploration of opportunities in casino operations, travel marketing, responsible tourism development, and event management.
